The door shuts and heater channel saga has at last been sorted by Adam "Wizard" who has crewed for me and for Rob Bowler. The person/firm/VW Specialist that the car was sent to for channels and quarters made such a bad job of it that we had to un pick his efforts, move the panels to the right places and re-weld them with the aid of a Portapower or two.

Before anyone asks and the rumours start. The individual concerned won't be named as I have got a resolution from him, but I will stop malicious comments by saying that he has never been a member of the VWDRC and has never raced a car.....

This explains why we weren't out at Big Bang as promised. (The crew cab rebuild and respray also affected this too)Still managed to Big Bang care of crewing for Shane Rae.

Make some seat mounts out of 1" box, a little bit of plodding and a lot of paint prep, and we are nearly done.

Sorry to hear about Pay Lay and Scott at the weekend.

I'm trying desperately to get the new car running in rattle can for Big Bang. Motor and box are done, plumbing is finished, Glass and seals are ready. Seat mounts and wiring, and door fit are the major stoppers.

Don't care if I have to strip it and go for the 2K paint after.
